York County Community Resource Guide

Find info on food banks, clothing banks, shelters, hotlines, support groups and more right here!

By Sarah Frane Macaroni Kid York October 16, 2025

We all face challenging times in our lives when a helping hand can make all the difference. Whether you're dealing with financial hardship, food insecurity, housing concerns, or other personal struggles, reaching out for support is a sign of strength, not weakness. However, pride or simply not knowing where to turn can sometimes prevent us from accessing the resources we need.

To bridge this gap, we've compiled a comprehensive guide to local agencies, hotlines, and support groups available to residents of  York County. These organizations stand ready to provide assistance, guidance, and hope during difficult times.

When contacting any of these organizations, be prepared to provide basic information about your household and specific needs. Many require appointments, so calling ahead is always recommended. Don't hesitate to ask questions about what services might be available to you – these organizations are staffed by professionals who understand that everyone's situation is unique.

Remember, seeking help is a sign of strength, not weakness. These community resources are here because neighbors helping neighbors is what builds strong, resilient communities. Whether you need immediate crisis assistance or long-term support to achieve greater stability, there are people ready to help you take the next step forward.
