Lincoln Square NYE Celebration
Gettysburg is ready to welcome the New Year in grand style with it’s annual community celebration, themed “From Lincoln Square to Times Square.” Organized by the Gettysburg New Year’s Eve Committee and Good Samaritan Lodge No. 336 Free & Accepted Masons the event promises an unforgettable evening of entertainment, family fun, and a uniquely Gettysburg countdown. Building on the success of last year’s festivities-which drew more than 2,300 attendees-this year’s event will expand with more live entertainment, food trucks, and kids’ activities! At the heart of it all will be Gettysburg’s signature tradition: the raising of “Lincoln’s Hat” at midnight, a nod to the town’s historic legacy. Join us in the square, with official events kicking off at 4pm, and stay with us to ring in the New Year.

An event of this size requires some traffic management so road closures to all vehicular traffic which includes Lincoln Square and one block adjacent to the Square: Chambersburg St. at Washington St., Carlisle St. at Railroad St., York St. at Stratton St., Baltimore St. at Middle St. Roads reopen at 1 a.m. on January 1, 2026.
On Wednesday, December 31st, celebrate the New Year in Downtown Harrisburg with a strawberry drop, fireworks, kids activities and more!
The event kicks off at 8:30pm with a Kid's Glow Party, balloon drop, face painting, crafts, and more. There will also be free snacks for the kids to enjoy. Taking place inside of City Hall (10 N 2nd St), come wearing your brightest neon and white to glow all night!
In front of City Hall, there will be a DJ and free hot cocoa starting at 9pm. Leading up to midnight, we will do the annual strawberry drop at the Hilton followed by fireworks (from 2nd Street between Blackberry & Market Street) to welcome the New Year.
Be sure to make dinner reservations and enjoy performances, parties and more at businesses throughout the City. A list of events and dining specials is below.

Hershey New Year’s Eve Celebration Returns to Ring in America’s 250th on December 31, 2025.
Held in the heart of downtown Hershey, Pa., the event will feature kid-friendly entertainment, main stage music and a laser and pyrotechnics display once the clock strikes midnight.
Families can look forward to New Year’s countdowns and bubble wrap stomps at The Hershey Story throughout the day, beginning at 11 a.m. The formal evening kicks off with a family hour from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. for younger guests who may not make it until midnight, featuring children’s musician Holly Serio, face painting, vendors and more. At 8:30 p.m., the HERSHEY Characters join for the final bubble wrap stomp and a dance party
The main stage entertainment kicks off at 9:00 pm with Fully Stocked and headlining this year is Pennsylvania quartet and TikTok sensation Burn the Jukebox. At 11:59, MC Denny Logan (WNNK 104.1) and the HERSHEY’s Characters will count down to the HERSHEY’S KISS raise. Then, downtown revelers will enjoy the annual laser and pyrotechnics display.
